Welcome to the blog of Historic Central Baptist Church in the heart of Elizabeth, New Jersey.

For over 130 years, our congregation has struggled to be a strong Christian presence and a witness to the reality and hope of transformation in this beautiful community of Elizabeth. The fact of Jesus, the Christ, in our lives launches us to pray, to study the Word of God, and to give testimony to the world, not only of a good man with a good message, but of God with us, in us and for us for his immeasurable love.

The Central Baptist Church seeks to provide a space for worship in English.
We invite you to join our Sundays at 9am in our Sanctuary

Weekly opporunities
Sunday Worship - 9am (English), 11.15am (Spanish)
Bible Study - Sunday, 10am; Tuesday, 8pm (taking place at the Parrish House)
Prayer - 3rd Friday of the month, 8pm (email for details)
Ministries - Women's, Second Thursday of the month, Children's (details coming up)

We'll continue adding events weekly. We hope for the opportunity to greet you in one of our events. Do not hesitate to call us for prayer and pastoral supoort.

The Lord's Supper or Communion is celebrated the first and third Sunday of every month during the Worship Service (11.15am). If you are member in good standing of a Christian Church we invite you to join us in this ordinance of our Lord.
